Post surgery the descriptive word is "barbs". I have two bumps in the upper forehead that send shock waves threw my head if I comb my hair or sleep on my side. I have two protruding bumps on the outer corners of my eyebrows, with the "barbs" attached to the eyelids. Thus causing horrible wrinkled dimples. They feel like fish hooks, in my head and eyes. My LT eyebrow is about 1/2 higher than my RT. I constantly have a headache, the throbbing keeps me from concentrating at work, and I feel like I have a tight headband on, ALL the time.
I went in concerned about my sagging Rt eyelid. Only wanted an upper eyelid lift. I was explicit in NOT wanting a brow lift.
Convinced by the Doctor's expert skills and knowledge I followed his opinion and had both done. Surgery date was 06/24/13. That was the day my eyes were mutilated!

No one tells a woman that one day her hormones will shift and suddenly the person she sees in the mirror no longer looks like the person she knows herself to be. I am enjoying many aspects of aging, the freedom, the creativity, the more peaceful perspective on life. And with all that, I want to walk through the world presenting the face that reflects the way I feel about myself, not the down turned, severe and even haggard face that was developing after menopause. I want to project the happy, loving, and delighted person age has helped me to become. Dr. Jewell and his kind, encouraging staff were the first to understand and support what I wanted to accomplish, not to banish age, but to simply look like myself. Thank you all for your kind, deeply supportive and caring help. I feel like me again.
I have asked the Doctor and his staff for a complete refund so I can go somewhere else and have corrective surgery. THIS IS A NIGHTMARE!!
I had a tummy tuck done with Mark on 5/19/2013 and I am loving the results. I am a thin mother of three but the stretched out skin I thought would go away with time never did and never would have without Mark's expertise. From the very first appointment till this day, Marks staff has been informative, compassionate, understanding and caring. I am a mom, not a super model and I wasn't looking for a super model body. Before the surgery, the DR described the eyebrow lift as "stitches" to pull the brows up.
