I need to set up an appointment. It is Thursday the 19th, all I get is a recording telling me NOT to call early in the week or early in the month and that I should call again. That is not helpful

This place is repeatedly a nightmare to deal with. They have very narrow few hour they are open, which is a form of discrimination. They only ever have two or three windows open and usually 20+ people waiting. And if they mess up over the phone, you have to physically go in to fix their problems at the cost of your own physical and mental health disability be damned. For a place that serves the disabled, they are heartless and lack understanding for those who are disabled and don't communicate with us well enough, leading to assumtions and mistakes that cause us disabled folk to suffer, starve, and go with out needed medications for a week.
If you don't need any brains or communications skills then there are plenty of people that can work at the Albany and Eugene Oregon SS office. I can't believe the system that these SS Offices have. Auto system that leads you nowhere and you can't get through to. It is deplorable (must work for Hillary C. in their first life) because they know nothing nor do they care!! I looked up on line and it said to make an appointment so you don't have to wait so I actually got the Eugene Office and the girl that answered the phone was about as helpful and caring as a box of rocks!!
THERE IS ALWAYS A LONG WAIT WEATHER YOU GO INSIDE OR ON THE PHONE GET OVER IT THIS WORLD HAS ALOT OF OTHER PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH THEN JUST YOU SO BE PATIENT.

Do not call any of the national call center numbers as hold times are approx. 40 min. and call center reps are not knowledeable---an exercise is frustration and aggrivation!!
