We were taken to this delightful restaurant and club by a relative when we were visiting in Eugene. The blues/rock music (Tuesday night) performed by very talented groups was a real pleasure. I didn't expect that type of venue to have such superb food but they did. I had a Cuban pork sandwich that was tender and delicious. The others enjoyed their meals of fried oysters and macaroni and cheese with yummy additions. Highly recommend this spot which is intimate and lively.
Mac's is amazing! The food is great, often organic and locally sourced. The people are friendly and the service is excellent! It is also terrific how Mac's showcases the local musical talent! What an awesome place to dance, laugh and just be yourself. The Tuesday Blues Jam is really rocking! It is the best kept secret in Eugene! My only wish is that they still had their wonderful chicken piccata on their menu as it was my favorite dish in town! Thank you Mac's for being home to many fantastic memories of eating great food, dancing to wonderful live music and enjoying the Eugene nightlife with friends.
Accommodating and has great historical pictures in a nostalgic way. Meet people who can reflect on their.earlier remembrances of the beautiful Veterans bldg. Meet prior employees from years ago, who offer up some delightful stories and maybe some Individuals who now in their 70's who recount their memories of this Great old origanally restored bldg. Transformed into a wonder dinning and nightclub experience with Great food and great evening entertainment! People keep coming back for all kinds of events. Rental rooms for gatherings and a kitchen that had a Chef and crew that handle all the catering. Real handy to have all this at one site! Defiantly recommend this for everyone to take a tour and stay and have some wonderful starters and a drink or two. So comfortable, stay for dinner and music.
My band was AMAZING. Their talent is over the top. Sexy and comfortable. Percussion queen. Beautiful voices. Perfect song choices. Saw them at a wedding few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed. After last night, I'm a true fan. Thanks for the obvious love you put into your passion and share that endurance with us.
Rude staff, poor service. We sat for 45 minutes, never had a waitress ask us for a drink or food order. Most of clientele are older folks. Overall negative vibe. Music nothing special, just mediocre jazz. Why all the positive reviews? Perhaps cos it's easy for friends and staff to post bogus reviews on google and yahoo.
