Top 3 restaurant in all of Eugene. The food is beyond amazing, especially the ribs, the corn and the bread pudding (with bourbon sauce). Be sure to order a fizzle from the bar- so bomb! The wait can be very long, but it is definitely worth it every single time.
Love the atmosphere. We are here celebrating our 9 year anniversary. My husband and I. Georgia Peach drink is fabulous. Also very strong. Can definitely feel the moonshine. Smells amazing, staff is friendly, food is out of this world with flavor. Can also find this place on diners drive ins and dives with Guy Fiery.
It's a great restaurant with a unique menu for Eugene. Best menu design ever! Food seems authentic and in good serving sizes. Almost always busy with a line out the door so we hardly ever go. Caught a break on a summer afternoon with tables to spare. Great service - remember this tip: they'll tell you the black eyed peas are not spicy but they are!
Rest in Papas , this was a legendary place (at least in my mind) and one of the only places in the area where you could get authentic soul food. I'm from back east and you can tell when the right spices have been used. I'm really heartbroken they are closing, but I'm glad I got to enjoy the food while it was here. Papas was the place to go on a Saturday night, hear live music and have some Kool-Aid mixers and fried chicken with friends.
The food was heavenly! I have never had such amazing food! It's so unfortunate that our first time would be our only time! Thank you for the amazing experience!
