I am in my second year of law school at the University of Oregon and I have meet some of the most intelligent, friendly, and kind people here. The school's faculty is overall outstanding and I love being a part of a university that has a lot of other grad programs and an undergraduate campus. Additionally, the small classes add a sense of community I think would be hard to find anywhere else.
I was a 1977 graduate, way over at the old law building on the other side of campus. My rating relates to that experience and facility. The faculty was technically proficient, but generally lacking in human relations skills. The course selections could have gone much further in teaching civil and criminal litigation skills. The school's relationship to the bar in Eugene was very weak, but then again, the bar itself in Eugene was pretty weak to begin with. The students at Lewis and Clark/Northwestern Law school in Portland had far stronger contacts with the Portland bar, and better legal clinics. This not only helped greatly with summer jobs but gave you some "reach" into the profession once you graduated. I wish I had graduated at LC/NW in Portland
