The food was decent — four to four and a half stars. But I'd have to ding them for their lack of attention to the offerings they have for kids. My daughter's quesadillas were totally sub-par looking and there was nothing special about my son's hot dog (he's a total hot dog kind of kid and didn't eat it all). The salad was really good — fresh, crispy vegetables and thick-cut bacon. Don't bother with the roasted vegetables. Mine mostly consisted of cauliflower (and I can't stand it). In the very least throw in some red and green grilled peppers, maybe some caramelized onions, or some other vegetables more conducive to roasting or grilling.
A fine unpretentious brew pub. An broad selection of hand crafted brewed on site brews. Menu matches the Eugene vib of this public house... with good eats (Veg., Vegan, an Gluten Free if your in need of such well represented as well). Bit off the line of sight location but worth the effort to find
Good food, surprisingly average beer.
The food was fresh and delicious. I had a spicy vegetarian stew that was tasty thick and filling. I was driving through and wanted something fresh and local. This was a great exoerience, they were friendly and helpful and I would come back again.
We are from out of town...found this place online looking through farm to table restaurants. It was AMAZING!!!! The guy tooling our order gave tons of great suggestions. We value farm to table/organic and this place definitely surpassed our expectations. A great 'cheat' (since we don't normally eat bread or cheese or even really drink). Great service & atmosphere. We had our 19 month old with us as well and he was able to play in the back.
I don't regret coming here — I'm always up for exploring new destinations and trying new beers. Just keep your expectations tempered and you'll enjoy it here. It's a good place, but not great.
Pub style bench seating. Indoor/outdoor. I don't drink alcohol, but my friends attest to a great beer selection, and they've got 'buch and delicious handcrafted sodas on tap. Food is on the heavier side, but quality ingredients and creative takes on typical northwest fare. Would be five stars, but slightly pricier than warranted. Friendly atmosphere, positive vibes, and open late!
I've heard really good things about the beer in the Eugene area, and admit that I had higher expectations coming into Falling Sky — especially after the beyond stellar beer at Hop Valley. But I'm afraid that Falling Sky didn't quite hold up to my hopes.
