Helpful staff and cool selection of unique books!
Great comic shop!!
I started going to Blue Moon books in the Early 1990's. It was close to where I lived, I was newly married and new to Eugene and loved going there to look over the books and find the perfect one(s) to bring home. In 1996 we adopted two children. At this time Blue Moon books was operating out of a bank building on River Road. What an adventure my children thought it was! We went almost every week. The vault was set up as the children's area. We would all go and pick out a book or two, they usually had popcorn so that was an added bonus. My son couldn't read when be came to live with us. After learning in school He quickly got into the Animorph Series and then all sorts of science fiction stories.
Everyone I have ever talked to has been able to help me find whatever I am looking for. The lady who on the store is so nice and friendly. I will go here as long as I can.
Sadly one day we found out Blue Moon was closing. We were all devastated.
Great selection of used books. Splendid selection of older comic books.
It was hard to drive by the old location and not talk about how much we loved that store. We looked for other used book stores but none measured up. Then in around 2011 I got a notice that Blue Moon was reopening. We couldn't believe it was the same place but went and checked it out. How happy we were to see the same familiar faces behind the counter! We left Eugene to move up by Portland. We still haven't found a books store that compares to the way Blue Moon made us feel once we got inside! Thank you for being a part of such fond memories that our family will always have.
Eight years later we had another daughter who also enjoyed going to Blue Moon and picking out "the" book.
