Renting cars at smaller airports has pros and cons...the pros -- you don't have to wait for someone to check you out when you return the car--you write down the mileage, the time, did you fill it with gas and return! The cons -- you always have to wait at the counter. Both times I rented at Eugene airport, the people were courteous and professional, and they had my car ready.
