The location was perfect, the room was exceptionally clean, and the people helpful and pleasant. I think the only improvement would be to let customers know that only soap is stocked in the rooms. I didn't want to get dressed again to go to the office to buy the shampoo and conditioner. I would have bought them at the office when I checked in if the staff had mentioned that they were not stocked items in the room.

I would have given a "5" rating except that there was no shampoo or conditioner available -- which I found out after undressing and about to enter the shower. I have never stayed in a hotel or motel that did not supply tiny little containers of both.

The staff was very friendly, but that's about the only good thing we had to say about our experience. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The room itself although updated was dirty. There were long black hairs on the floor, shower, and pillow. We were in town due to an emergency vet visit for our dog where he had to have over night surgery. After the 3 hour drive and the overall stress of the situation we were extremely tired. We were kept awake all night by the upstairs neighbors who's every movement you could hear. Granted they were in no way trying to be quiet going in and out and arguing all night. Overall next time we'll spend the extra $10 to stay somewhere else our next visit to the Springfield/ Eugene area.

Starting with the room. The room was clean however, there was no shampoo, blow dryer or even a clock in the room. I have stayed at many Motel 6's and this was the worst experience I have had. The location is next to a freeway and the noise from that freeway was loud enough that one had to turn the television up to past 20 on the TV. Next was the sink drain which didn't drain until after 10 minutes. The beds were extremely hard. The rain gutters needed cleaning it was either the freeway noise or the over pouring rain gutter that you had to dodge to get to the stairs and walk way. Like I mentioned above this by far was the worst Motel 6 experience I have had. However, the front clerk was nice.

The front desk check in was very easy, Monique was helpful and very nice, our room was small, prices were jacked up for some reason. We paid $100 per night plus tax which was another $35.... I bit ridiculous! We didn't have a microwave or fridge, beds were very hard, and shower water pressure was almost non existent. The worst part of the stay was all of the druggies outside all night. The motel was right off the freeway, and you could hear the traffic noise all night long! Semi trucks barreling down the freeway, people outside partying, we thought our rooms window was open because it was so loud! Most motels/hotels we stay in our fairly sound proof, this one is not one of them! Don't stay here if your a light sleeper! I didn't sleep the whole time I was there! Pissed I paid this much money for such a bad place! This was the equivalent of a $50 motel.....

First, the front desk staff was accommodating for the situation, which was helpful. But the fact remains that we did not end up spending the night at Motel 6 and went to a different hotel. Upon entering the room we were assigned, a non-smoking room, it smelled like an ashtray. Strongly. When I went down and explained this to front desk staff, they offered to "de-fog" the room to rid it of smell. I said I would rather not breathe all those chemicals--and would rather just get a refund if possible. Staff needed to verify what we were saying, and he agreed and issued the refund. That was professionally handled. But the reality was that the room was completely unsuitable and they were charging $120 for it because of a local college football game.
