When my husband went into the VRC location to pick up our to-go order that we placed on-line they hadn't even started to make it yet (said order ready for pick-up in 20mins) When he got home the crust on half of my pizza was burn't and the other half under cooked, how does that happen? My husband and kids pizza was doughy. We have LOVED Pizza Pipeline for over 15yrs, sadly now I think we will be looking for a new pizza place.
Pizza pipeline and I have a special relationship. I have been around and eating there for so long. I have seen it change from a run down pizza join you would trade weed for slices or bread sticks to a full fledged bad ass pizza joint. My favorite pizza is cajus sauce, extra three blend cheese, zesty edge crust. You then sprinkle insane amounts if parm and red pepper on it. It is the perfect pizza.
I bought a Groupon for date night, getting $30 for $15. We got an extra large veggie with a few substitutions and additions. The toppings were great, the sauce was okay, the crust was not so great. I'm not a fan of the use of cornmeal in the dough stretching process, so it comes down to personal preference. However, the pizza was still pretty darn good, the people there were nice, and they have a cool coral fish tank with a couple clownfish and had bumping music to listen to while we waited. Our pizza was done in 15 minutes, too.
Pizza Pipeline is always great! Whether you are looking for a cheap slice for lunch or their truly giant Colossus. They also have deals on Groupon regularly, so you can save a little more money. Love this place!
People complain that it takes so long to get your pizza. Those people obviously don't eat hand tossed pizza cooked to order much. Everyone is twice as long if a wait for a whole fresh pizza.
Great pizza for the price! A college soul food. Garlic tricky stixs are a must. Get extra marinara sauce for dunking crust.
