This is my favorite of the three McMenamins restaurants in Eugene. It's the best one to go to as a solo diner -- during quiet weekday afternoons or Duck football games (it's not a sports place), you can hang out there for a while and get work done. The early end of the 3-6 p.m. happy hour is best for this. The nook with the windows to the left when you go in is not to be missed, especially in daylight. Tables in that nook are pretty close together, though, so it's easy to hear the next table's conversation.
Always consistent. Been coming here for years whenever I'm in Eugene and need lunch. Standard McMenamin's fare that is well executed.

Great place to hang in the shade in the back or sun up front in the garden. This place has a victorian feel to it. Inside its very quaint with a great collection of concert posters from the 60s. Excellent atmosphere. QUIET RELAXED READ A BOOK OR SIT BY THE FIREPLACE INSIDE. 20 YEARS OF VISITS FROM ME AND STILL LOVE IT. Great rainy day hide out.
