We ate on the patio last night and had such a nice date night. We had a lovely view of a big bridge over the river, and got to sit next to a large fire pit and our servers were so sweet. They have a huge rum list and give great suggestions. Best experience I've had at a McMenamins so far.
Hosted a bridal shower here in the side room which is where the traffic to outside seating comes through. Atmosphere was good and our waitress was fabulous for a large group. The manager on duty at the time had a bad attitude and was not professional at all when speaking to a few of our guests. Definatley needs to learn some better customer service skills! His comments were rude and unappreciated!
"tiki" themed McMenamins has only a slightly more alluring appeal and is Not really any more interesting than any of the many other locations scattered throughout the NW. Same standards offered here as any other of their staple pubs. Mediocre food. Semi decent beer. And an unenthusiastic and under appreciated staff.
One thing to know, in case you are picky about soda like I am, is that they don't have Pepsi or Coke, they serve Rite & Diet Right. Moving along - Great food, amazing atmosphere (we ALWAYS sit outside on the back patio right on the Willamette River, it's so peaceful and beautiful). There are large umbrellas to shield you from the sun, and a fire pit and several tall portable heaters when it gets chilly. My family seems to really love the large variety, quality and price of your local beers. I LOVE the Cajun Tots - they're my favorite! :-)
Amazing food, big portions, and an atmosphere that can't be beaten. I will never forget this place and how friendly the waitstaff is! 6/5 stars.
