Love, love, love Wal-Mart! Wide selection of a little bit of everything and affordable. Not too much of a hassle for returns, depends who's working customer service. Very lovely people at customer service overall.
Lost a few stars when they started closing at midnight. Should lose more for doing away with the greeters being replaced by their exit patrol checking receipts rather than offering a helping hand out to your car. What ever happened to courtesy clerks? It seems more like corporate gorillas.
Walmart is great, you can get anything here basically. The only problem i have with Walmart is they never buy in store enough stock for some products, with clothes I'm lucky to have anything in my size in stock. If i ever need groceries, stuff for my kids, furniture, household supplies, something for my car, it doesn't matter my first choice is Walmart for anything. I definitely recommend shopping at Walmart!
Customer Service...is not. We and another customer waited for over 20 minutes for assistance at the jewelry counter before we could get helped. Although the young man at the self-check-out was pleasant and called for someone, nobody came. Twice, my wife asked at the checkouts and once of an employee with a walkie-talkie, who called. When someone finally did come, they were not familiar with the area. We made our purchase (only one of the two items we had hoped to purchase), but left far less than impressed. Later that evening, we went to Kohl's to look for the second. The help and professionalism was in stark contrast to our Walmart experience. For a similar product, we paid less than $2.00 more. Given the difference in price and time spent, we saved about $1.75 per hour spent. Our collective time is worth much more than that.
The store and the prices are ok. What went bad is a swarm of homeless or drug addicted youth in teens or twenties roaming around the parking lot on bikes with flash lights. The Target across the street never had this issue. I felt unsure, if I see my car in one piece. I am pretty sure that leaving anything of value in sight inside the car would guarantee a smashed window. I also feel extremely sad for these kids. Hungry, on drugs, and spending their night in that parking lot is something I wish was not true.
