First of all he was the only electrician to get back to us right away, the others all made us wait 5-7 days or never called back at all, which makes no sense to me in this economy. Bob called us back the same day, a Saturday afternoon, and started on Monday! Second of all, his wiring plan made more sense to us and was less expensive than what other electricians had proposed. And most important of all, he was really friendly and I felt confident that he was honest with us about his bid, etc. He did a perfect job and I enjoyed chatting with him off and on during the day.
We also had an issue with the hot tub, and he helped me figure it out right away and then talked to Emerald Pool and Patio on the phone to explain the issue to them and have them come out right away to fix it. It wasn't a huge amount of work I guess, but he certainly wasn't required to do it. (He could've just left us with the problem and then charged us to come back another day when that was fixed, to complete the hookup, so I was really happy he was so helpful.)
I found it very difficult to select an electrician, never having needed one before. Some of them have bad reviews on Google, and some have huge amounts of reviews that they clearly wrote themselves. Since I was having a hot tub installed (major job, all the quotes I got were $1000+), I decided to go with Emerald Pool and Patio's recommendation, which was Bob Fisher. I'm incredibly glad I picked him.
