Pleasant staff and descent prices.
I will never come back to this store. The man behind the counter told me Not to bring my 5 year old back into the store because she asked me if his "hat" was a genie hat. I told my child that he wore it for religious reasons and to be careful that she not offend anyone. I know he heard me explain this, yet he got offended anyway! Im trying to teach my children to be culterally diverse and not judge.
Normally I might indulge in the kind of ironic reviewing that others here have - which is to say, glorifying an obvious dump - but due to the neighborhood alone, one has to call a spade a spade. Seriously, what a festering typhoon of societal filth languishing about the place. This part of town is where hope wakes up in the morning, considers calling the suicide hotline, but instead simply curls up on the nearby train tracks.
Very poor service. The guy behind the counter always charges more than what is listed on the shelf.

Though, to be fair, I would have given it another star had I noticed a baseball bat behind the counter (as mentioned in a review left years ago now)... instead I had to make due with Mr Turban's magnificent lack of people skills. Not that I'd be terribly chipper working there, either. And what's up with peddling narcotics paraphenalia to the neighborhood junkies? Is that supposed to somehow improve the clientele and/or reputation of this place...?
