DON'T EVEN TRY GOING THERE!
ZERO stars. My friend was just there. They scheduled her for an appointment for a procedure that they DON'T DO! Then proceeded to try to do it and couldn't - so now she's injured and bruised and still not treated.
After repeated phone calls I was told they will not accept my insurance (they are listed as a preferred provider) and they are "private" counselors who can "choose which insurance to accept". They wasted my time.
I had a very lovely experience with Benson Health Clinic from the very first time I called the office all the way to when I left. The woman who answers the phones was so kind and even though the person I was referred to was not available she took the time to ask me what my needs were to see if she had another counselor available for me. I came into the appointment very sad and when I left I was smiling. Even booking a follow up appointment with the receptionist was fabulous. The front office is so comfortable and very welcoming. The office I had my counseling in was amazing. Aroma therapy, salt rock lamp, low lighting, comfortable couch. They have it all. I am so happy I found Benson Health Clinic! -Amanda Ingman
I have been going to Amber Benson's Clinic for close to 11 years now. I find the people at the clinic to be extremely helpful and understanding, always willing to listen and go that extra mile for you.
My review was removed! Let's try again. Dr. Deborah "Debby" Phillips is the most unprofessional, unethical and completely inept provider I have ever encountered. She is reckless in prescribing medication and if you dare miss a couple appointments (even under dire family circumstances), she will ruthlessly cut you off physically addictive medication COLD TURKEY. Medication that she herself warned against going off of in such a manner, because it's dangerous. I'm going to file an official complaint with the Oregon medical board and the Oregon board of counselors and therapists. She is, unbelievably, a mental health provider. She is the coldest, most unsympathetic "therapist" I have ever even heard of. She uses the sensitive information you confide in her against you if you cross her. In this case, "crossing" her was as simple as standing up for myself and questioning her motives. I have never had any trouble with any other provider. In my opinion, Deborah "Debby" Phillips is someone you may want to avoid.
