In my younger days I watched a dude get shanked here. Got in plenty of fights on the basketball court.
Great people who work for .eugene city's parks
I will give them a big plus on keeping the park looking good. One thing is they do. Need a few more trash cans put in.
I do not want any of the trees cut in Skinner's Butte Park. The trees are what make it a special place. We do not need any more trails either. We also do not need any more people up there. What we do need is to get the transients out of the park, and keep the garbage picked up. This has been my special place for twenty years, and I have seen a steady decline in the quality of the place because of to many people going there. There is blaring music, and drug abuse rampant up at the top. Please lets not cut the place down. Certainly, we can use the money for something more positive.
The park is very well-kept, totally relaxing for couples with kids lot open space you can even bring your pets,
Unique urban environment - absolutely unpredictable. Graffiti, drugs, and violence a plenty! Truly one of the best basketball courts on the planet.
