This is a great place to walk trails, get good views, and be outdoors. It feels safe, people make eye contact and say hi, and there's usually people around (enough to be safer but not so many it's crowded). There is a water fountain at the top if you walk up and need a refreshment.
Great park for kids of all ages. I take kids here ages 2-7 and all of them have a blast. There's often a cool breeze from the riverside and the scenery is relaxing. Only downfall is there are NO doors on the bathroom stalls which makes for an awkward experience in the restroom. And it does get quite crowded when warm out due to the small water structure. Great for a nice stroll along the river though!
Police were there with Cahoots - not sure what went down there but it was drug related, potheads were there stumbling and cursing in front of kids, signs of drug activity, graffiti on trees. It could be a beautiful place. I liked the views at the top but I didn't feel safe alone there.
Beautiful park. Don't come first thing in the morning if you like bathrooms though. The sign says they will open at 7:30, but I wouldn't even try before 8:30 or 9. Great park. Lazy city workers. This park is still my favorite place.
Good vibes good space good amount of parking. Next to river, with nice sidewalk that goes along. Not a lot of sitting but great places pop a squat. Great assortment of slides for the lil 1's ;)
