Quality gear and service for any outdoor adventure. Can be expensive but there are frequent sales and 20% off any one item events which can create bargain. I love Shopping at REI. Very helpful staff too.
I am giving it this review simply because this is a very pricey place to shop. You could definitely get better deals on Amazon or other places. But they do take good care of this store and there is a very wide selection. Great staff as well.
Very cool adventure store. Inspires to get out into nature and offers all the stuff you need to do it. They have hiking, camping, climbing, biking, and general outdoor gear. It is a member owned co-op, so they do pressure you a bit to buy in to the co-op if you are just walking around. Some REI stores have a rock wall in them, this one does not.
Took my road bike in yesterday to have the wheels worked on and have new brake pads installed on the rear wheel. This was a Friday on a hot day and a very busy day for rei. The mechanic who took my bike was super friendly and very genuine. He said my bike would be ready Monday. I got a call on Saturday that I missed
A large man "helped" us at the front desk and was extremely arrogant, condescending, and difficult to authorize a simple exchange on a pair of shorts for a size smaller. He chastised us for not purchasing a $20 membership and borderline gave up on us over such a miniscule request. We're here on vacation, these stores aren't in Omaha. Easily the rudest person I've encountered in Eugene and I won't return to this store after this experience. It's unfortunate that such unprofessional behavior had to deter me from such an interesting place.
