Dr Gutierrez is a great doctor. He is thorough and he listens very well. He has offered alternative remedies when I've wanted them. I am very pleased with him. However, he has no staff besides his wife, who works as his receptionist/scheduler/biller. Since my first phone call, she has been unpleasant. She is quite frankly, rude. I would have never gone back, but Dr G is exceptional. I am now reconsidering this option. I dread every phone call with her. She's degrading and condescending. If she were not his wife, I am positive that she would have been fired. Her behavior is simply unacceptable. It's unfortunate that he can not see that, as she is singlehandedly sabotaging his career.
Had an appt for our teen son with Asperger's. Dr. had no resources, but kindly looked them up for us. The appt was quite extensive and went very well. His philosophy and approach are just what we were looking for. When I attempted to contact them to switch the rest of the family to his care, I was told curtly that he 'will not be working with your family. Good luck finding another Dr.' My emails and calls were ignored for several weeks until I called from a new #. I was told again the Dr. was not interested in having my family as patients. When I asked for an explanation in honest confusion, his wife/assistant actually hung up on me! I have never met with such unsolicited rudeness in my life and am left feeling it is their response to working with individuals with Asperger's. We have excellent insurance coverage that he accepts, my children are older, active and interested participants in their health, polite and well-behaved, and I made many attempts to inquire if I had misunderstood something. I would expect to be treated this way if we had done something offensive, but we did not.We are new to the area and the resources and acceptance toward neurodiversity and the friendliness everywhere have been amazing. To have received our first taste of discrimination and rudeness at the hands of a healer who blogs about love and attends church with our close friends and neighbors makes this all the more shocking and hurtful. I will be sharing my experience accordingly.
Amazing physician. Takes his time with his patients and listens intently. He even took the time to send me a study applicable to my situation. Dr. Gutierrez stays current with research and brings all this knowledge to his practice. Highly recommend!!!
Dr. Guiterrez is a very attentive, professional, and yet compassionate man. My wife and I have both seen him for the past year and have been very impressed by how much time he spends with us during our appointments -and how thorough and helpful his advice and remedies are to improving our health! He's been my doctor for a little bit now. Him and his wife are 2 amazing people. I appreciate that he takes the time to get to know you, and really hears what you're saying. Not just cramming pills down your throat to get you gone and on to the next. Very professional I'd recommend him to anyone.
