We ordered a sectional back before Thanksgiving. The sales slip says expected delivery 29-JAN-17 (Sunday). We called on 29-Jan to inquire where our furniture was. They said they would call us back within the hour. Crickets..... A week later, we went to the store asking where our furniture was. Sales person called the furniture black hole and said he would get back to us within an hour. We left and went home. More crickets....
Update: We received the sectional on the 22nd. The delivery guys were great. They were polite and didn't balk when we asked that they remove their shoes before moving the furniture on the carpet.
Actually I give them 0 stars - worst customer service ever! I bought a chest from M Jacobs outlet in Eugene. I was told to pick it up in Bend which was perfect since I live here. I went in to pick it up and it's gone. After dealing with the store manager it's determined that it was resold to someone else but he assured me they'd get it figured out. Several days go by and no word from anyone. I call and leave messages. I finally get a call back from the store manager in Eugene. He too assured me he'd get it straightened out. Several more weeks go by and no word from anyone. I called Eugene and talked to the original salesman, he says sorry, we don't have anymore. You should pick one of two that were kind of similar - although wrong style. I finally choose one I sort of like. I'm told its on a truck, you can pick it up in Bend. I get a call later the next day that, sorry, they sold that one to another customer as well.
I found a lovely sofa online. The site said M. Jacobs was the nearest retailer that would carry the sofa. I talked to the sales lady. She had no clue what I was talking about! The selection is not that great!
I called first thing Saturday morning to see if they would deliver my furniture today. WE DON'T DELIVER ON WEEKENDS???? I asked when they expect to deliver my furniture. The lady at the store suggested the first delivery of the day on Wednesday the 22nd. I won't hold my breath.
At this point I'm told to come to the store and try to pick something else. I was out of town, the graduation present was ruined and I just wanted my money back. The salesman tells me, sorry, I'm not authorized to do that. So I start calling store managers again. Conveniently, they are off or unavailable and refuse to talk to me. A secretary was the only company representative that would talk to me - and she proceeded to lecture me how busy the managers are and I just have to understand. She went on to say only the Eugene store can issue a refund. Lie and behold, the Eugene store calls and says ok, now we will give you your money back. The person went on to say it wasn't their fault, they felt it was all handled wrong from the beginning, M Jacobs is a terrible employer....etc. Rude, unprofessional, irresponsible - not the store they advertise to be in the radio. I've never been treated poorer than this sale!
Finally, we get a message from the delivery manager at 2:31 Friday 2/17 wanting to deliver the furniture. Like most people who purchase "better quality" furniture, we work for a living and didn't get the message till that night.
I purchased several pieces of quality furniture. Sales person was knowledgeable and personable.
The people there and the delivery guys were ok. They were not terrible and they were not spectacular BUT the quality of furniture that the store carries is VERY spectacular. I LOVE my sectional. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I have 5 kids and 2 large dogs and my couch 2 years later still looks and works like brand new. LOVE IT!!!! Wont buy furniture anywhere else.
After we aligned the sections, we noticed that the back of the love seat section is about an inch taller on the back. Will have to see how post delivery customer service is now.
I won't be back to purchase end tables, or coffee table.
